Is Slipknot a bad influence on people?
Slipknot has been a heavy metal rock band since 1995. Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Monies, Iowa. Slipknot contains 9 members that each wear their own unique mask. They're songs have very inappropriate music videos that children look at. These music videos may have the children to think of the band members as role models. The children will soon try to act like them and try to be like them at all times. The lyrics in some of Slipknot's videos are very inappropriate. A lot of their songs have very inappropriate violent words. 1 of their songs that is filled with violence is the song Dead Memories. The song Dead Memories has frightening lyrics like "Dead visions in your name. Dead fingers in my veins". There has has been a death that involved similar masks of Slipknot. The boy was wearing the mark of the beast as an imitation of Slipknot and had accidentally stabbed an innocent kid in school. Slipknot has made a huge impact on the world today. In my opinion, I think Slipknot is very inappropriate for children 18 and under.

There is a calm and gentle side of music. While there is a wild and rowdy part of music. Parents have tried their best to restrict music that influences their children to rebel and act rowdy. Parents can not restrict the music their children listen to because music is a lifestyle for teenagers. Music is expressing their personality in various ways.
Teenagers need to express their emotions by listening to the music they like. If you take a glance at someone's Ipod, and look at their songs, you can see what type of person they are. Music also entertains teenagers to occupy their free time. Teenagers sometimes listen to Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Metal, and Rap. This kind of music has artists that are rebellious which teenagers look up to. When teenagers look up to artists as a role model they tend to dress like them, and try to copy their behavior. We can not control the music teenagers listen to. As a solution to this problem we should restrict some music that teenagers will listen to to stop this epidemic.
